Look ma, semi-country music I actually like!

Cross Canadian Ragweed, TODD SNIDER!, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, Stoney Larue, and Dierks Bentley ALL at Oklahoma City's fabulous Zoo Amphitheatre tomorrow afternoon & night. There's no football game. What ELSE are ya possibly doin? It'll pretty much rock, and no schmaltzy pop-country aftertaste!

I think Travis Linville will be there as well. I could be wrong.

It'll rock except for the crowd there to see Cross Canadian. thanks but no thanks.

Stoney's lead guitarist was Selena's original guitarist, FYI.

Rodney Pyatt?

I agree with 1TC. I know all original fans feel this way when their band makes it to the big time, but I get ****ed at all the new fans. They don't remember the days of $5 shows at Red Dirt. I would be inclined to go check out the opening bands and take off before Ragweed and Dierk.

Rodney is a cool cat. His son plays for the Steve Tenpenny band, check em out if you get a chance. In TX they have a single out, it's the old school 'Hello Mrs. Robinson'. They're not bad.

Hell, I was at the dirt one night with about 6 other people for a ragweed show and they played for free. Anyhoo, IMO they deserve their new fans and I mean it. ;)

CC Revisited is a bad joke on a band that was always about the one guy who isn't in it now and stopped making music 35 years ago anyway. :pop:

debatable. did you know that the songwriter that penned beer run that george jones and I think Garth Brooks recorded tried to sue Todd for his version? It went away and a few years after Todd ran into that songwriter at a deal in Nashville and the guy admitted to hearing Todd play it and he just took the chorus and expanded on it. What a ******. Todd's song 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' on his new album is about that.

1TC, have you seen the new LeAnne Womack video with guys from various Red Dirt and Texas bands?

Damn, you were on the ground floor of the Red Dirt scene. I saw Ragweed play a couple of times at the DU house for free. Well, free for me anyway.
