WOW!!! that guy makes Jim Traber look, and sound, great...

I'd kill to hear Traber have a melt down like that except for the fact that it'd come at the expense of an OU win which I wouldn't want unless we were the ones to deprive them of it.

no conversation involving a meltdown, sports related or otherwise, would be complete without a nod to what I feel is the greatest of all time:

He seems to think Michigan State "choked" or something.

He's right that ND didn't win; the Fartans -- what's the word -- yeah "choked."

Were I a MSU fan, I wouldn't be.

I think Herbstriet said just before they finished blowing the lead "There's a reason why you're Michigan State"

Yeah, that's why.

I'd give anything to have a tape of what I am sure was a major-league explosion of profanity. This occassion was osu and Jimmy Johnson losing to OU in 1984 in a game I just know Helmet HJead thought he was going to win.

When his voice first starts cracking about 4 minutes in, I thought he'd started channelling the ghost of Chris Farley... kept waiting for him to say the coaches should be living in a vaaaaaa, down by the riiiiiver.

Someone explain to John L the rules and understand your timeout are not like cell phone minutes! THEY DON'T CARRY OVER!!!

So many, many great lines in that rant.

I wanna repeat of this guy this week after their newest loss

Aside from the comic relief this meltdown guy provides, well, I have to say - What a Jerk! An out of shape, armchair quarterback who lives vicariously through his team has no business publically berating and ridiculing those kids on the team who played their hearts out in the rain. Everyone has an opinion, but this nut went overboard. I just hope he controls himself this week after the Illinois loss. That radio station should consider some sort of action against that loser.

In honor of the Christmas season, I'd like to add Clark Griswold's holiday meltdown as an all time classic.

Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny ****ing Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white *** down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of *******s this side of the nuthouse.
