Stanley Wilson...without question!!
Blew off the Super Bowl to get high.

Published: January 13, 1990

Stanley Wilson, the Cincinnati Bengals running back who was banned from the National Football League for using cocaine the night before the Super Bowl last year, was arrested yesterday in Gardena, Calif., for possession of drug paraphernalia, the police said. Wilson missed the 1985 and 1987 N.F.L. seasons because of suspensions for violations of the league's substance-abuse policy.

Patrolling sheriff's deputies reported that they found Wilson in his 1989 Chrysler LeBaron at about 1:30 A.M. yesterday, stopped in the middle of an intersection.

As the deputies approached the automobile, they saw between the two front seats a pipe that they assumed was used to smoke marijuana, the police said.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said the 28-year-old Wilson had been arrested, booked and held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

The authorities said that Wilson was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol but that he could give no answer as to why his car was found stopped in the intersection.(AP)

To his credit, Charles Thompson has pretty much redeemed himself since his trouble while at OU.

Jamille Halloway
My uncle worked w/him in OKC a while back and Halloway got fired for drugs and not comming in. He would talk to my uncle about how he tried to help kids stay off drugs and then he gets fired for them. Go Figure. :(

I figured Dupree would get these honors.

Jamelle is a pretty sad story. Dude ends up being a crackead, and he has a degree from OU. Not to mention the name. Homeboy could have had a 6 figure salary from anywhere in Oklahoma....

Came out of Texas at 6'3 245 Defensive End. State Open Division 100 meters champ. His freshman year GPA = 0.00.

Switzer took a lot of heat. Of course when he was recruited he had a satisfactory High school GPA and ACT score so Switzer did not know he was that kind of a problem. Two years after he left OU he was playing at Baylor. They KNEW what they were getting and the media never batted an eye.

Jerry Parks

Switzer took a lot of heat over him shooting a team mate in the dorm or whatever the story was. Nothing in his background indicated he was that kind of an individual but Switzer was roasted over it. Two years later he ends up playing for Houston. They KNEW what they were getting but the media never batted an eye.

Dang, I guess maybe the media is the stupidest ever, but they sure as hell ain't Sooners.

Recently, maybe Jermaine Hardison. I read that his peers in the football program nicknamed him "dumb-***" last season.

"Walk-on Jermaine Hardison, a 6-3, 209-pound wide receiver from Midwest City has been dismissed from the squad for violating team rules. Hardison, a junior, was removed after a recent trip to a casino just south of Norman. The team has a mandate of no gambling and no visiting casinos."

The casino called an ambulance after he hit his head in the bathroom or something like that....

anyway.

Perfect timing given the other **** that was going on.

Buster Rhymes - got pulled over by cops so he took a giant hit off the crack pipe before they came to the car so he could be high when he went to jail. Also he stole a teammate's stereo and took it to his dorm down the hall.

I didn't even mention the machine gun.

Dusty Loveless. If that name don't ring a bell, that is a big clue how stupid he was.Stud NG from Norman, came in at the same time as Martin Chase and Cale Gundy.Quit the team because off-season conditioning was too tough for him(under Gibbs, mind you).aNNOUNCED HIS INTENTIONS TO TRANSFER TO NEBRASKA of all places.I have no idea where he ended up.
