Didn't Rocky Bright quit football so he could go to Med school?

Brian Bosworth...and no I am not kidding ;)

That's exactly who I was thinking when I saw the thread title. I seem to recall that he graduated with a 3.5 GPA as a business administration major.

And then he got a 100% guaranteed contract from the Seahawks because he knew his shoulders were toast. $11 million contract over 8 years, and he got all of the money, even though he played only 2 or 3 (???-not sure) years. The Seahawks actually paid the premiums for the insurance policy that guaranteed the contract (if he had to quit playing due to injury). I think that cost $500,000. Boz got the deal of the century there.

On the field - Heupel no doubt.

Off the field - Dusty and Boz were smart but I'd go with Spencer Tillman.

Can't recall the name but there was a linebacker in '78 or '79 who went to law school and spent a portion of his law school at Oxford. (England not Mississippi)

Alvan Adams.

I believe he was 4.0 Pre-Med Student when playing Basketball.

Went on to play for the Suns.

Off the field, current Sooner Chase Beeler has got to be near the top (33 ACT, National Merit Semifinalist, 4.0 student at Jenks).

That's not as hard as it sounds. OU's law school, while perfectly fine, is not terribly hard to get admitted to, and many students at OU's law school and at others spend part of their law studies at Oxford (it's a pretty big program).
