As long as the ash cloud heads a different way.
Problem is, my SIL lives in Kodiak, so it can't blow that way either.

With my luck, the ash cloud is going to cut the sattelite feed of OU/Texas.

We've got quite a bit of vulcanism up here around Anchorage. We had one blow last year. Main thing is to keep your car clean, as ash will absolutely destroy your paint job.

Nothing like watching a volcano erupt in person. I watched Mt. St. Helens erupt from a hill just south of Longview Washington on May 18, 1980. Iv'e never seen anything as spectacular.

Btw, I drove about 7 miles away from the crater of St. Helens the night before.
