Ok so I'm suppose to go to an ortho doc tomorrow to have this damn cyst sucked out my knee. Here's the rub, its a very large cyst in the knotch or middle of my knee and it has wrapped it self around a tendon. My mom was talking to one of her scrubs at OCOM today and he told her that my butt needs to get to a general surgeon instead of a orthopod because of all of the crap that they could cut upon. Also, they are going to try to scope it and suck it out.


What say you in your medical opinion, and of course I'm assuming you've done surgery.

Actually the best kind. Our kind. That's the one upside about this, is that its in a facility that uses a TON of our products.

If I understand you correctly, it's in the knee space. That would be the territory of an orthopedist. They do total knee replacements at times, they should know exactly what to look out for. I think you should be in good hands.

See that's what I was think. My mom is a drama queen trying to upset me before I go in.

Yeah, prayers and best wishes, Lil. My 17yo had something very similar done successfully a couple of weeks ago. You'll be fine.

Gool Luck Lil. Ortho's are the best when it comes to Knees. I work for a law firm that uses alot of Ortho's for exert witnesses....They know their stuff.

Surgery went well. The doc got her in about two hours early and finished in about 45 minutes. Removed the cyst via scope, so they didn't have to cut into the back of her knee. No cartilage damage or anything, so that's great.

And, for OUDoc, the procedure is titled "right kneescope with debridement ganglion". It was near her PCL and partially wrapped around a tendon.

Now she's zonked out on her bed, with some Loritab and this cool little EB Ice machine and wrap.

Have fun with the circulating Ice machine.......they're alot better than hastling with the bags of ice. Glad everything OK Lil....
