Hey guys! Please move this thread if it is in the wrong place...I just wasn't sure where it went.

I am going to Columbia to see the OU/Mizzou game and need suggestions for places to stay there. It seems to already be full for that weekend...so any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Stay in Kansas City. Seriously. It's about a 2 hour drive.

StL is about 2 hours away, and there are some pretty great places to stay around there. If not, I believe Jefferson City, which is the capital of MO, is about 20-30 minutes away.

Me too, KC has too many good options.

Mizzou is an excellent venue, stadium is buried in the ground and the campus is in a pretty setting.

I saw Billy rip for 282 in '79...maybe AD can top it.

I live about an hour south. You can stay in Kingdom City about 20 minutes away, east on i-70, all new hotels. There is a casino with hotel in Booneville, MO, Isle of Capri, also about 20 minutes away east on I-70. If driving back south, Lake of the Ozarks has about a million hotel room, off season rates, from $39 a night to $500 a night, and everything in between.

From OKC or Norman, even Tulsa, try this route for a very beautiful and scenic change. It's actually probably faster too.

Take I-44 and drive through Springfield Mo. If you've never seen the Bass Pro shop, make a stop on this trip. Even if you hate the outdoors, this is something to see. Stay on I-44 until the exit at milemarker 129 at Lebanon, MO. Go through town and look for the Hwy5 North to your right.

This takes you to the Lake of the Ozarks, where you'll see a stoplight on the town square in Camdenton. Turn right on HWY 54, this goes through Osage Beach and Lake Ozark, there will be every restaraunt chain and hotel you could ever want, as well as the best outlet mall in the Midwest. 54 goes north to Jefferson City MO. Cross the river bridge, and look for the second overpass exit that is Hwy 63 North. This goes straight to Columbia and all you have to do is exit off STADIUM Drive to run right into the stadium.

This beats the hell out of driving through Kansas. Scenic Ozarks hills, lots of entertainment dollars can be spent, and you can avoid traffic in KC.

Yeah, that's a great route - if you want to get there in 12 hours, that is. If you want to make some time, go through Kansas. Been there, done that.

Naw. OKC to Lake of the Ozarks 6.5 hours. Columbia is another hour north.
