Non-Conference games

Regarding non-conference games. Larger schools like OU have these small piddly schools come to Norman to play and these teams get some sort of payment. Is money still exchanged when large schools play large schools? Like when we went to Oregon or Alabama? If not, what or who determines if and when money comes into play?

I'd assume the home team foots the 100k travel bill.

For home and home series, there is usually no payment either way. If it's a one time show, as in when OU went to Notre Dame in Stoops' first year, there is a payment. (Didn't we get one million dollars for that one)...
