Looks like ABC has the 7 pm slot set aside for football on the 7th. Looking through the scheduled games for that day, the only other game against ranked teams likely to be carried by ABC (not involving SEC teams essentially) is the Cal/Oregon game. I would imagine if given a choice, ABC would carry our game over that one.

Also there is no 11 am game scheduled on ABC that day!:texan:

I don't think there have been any 11 a.m. games on ABC this year. Did they get rid of that time slot as they acquired the weekly primetime spot?

I think one of my friends put it best when he said Fair Park would look like Gettysburg by the time a 7 p.m. kickoff rolled around.

I've got a new HD plasma and DVR. I can't afford to eat for a few weeks, but this is gonna be good.

ABC national coverage. Rare for a 2:30 game. I'd guess ABC wanted this as their primetime, but UT, OU and SFOT all said HELL NO to that.

I'd be shocked if ABC didn't pick it up.

This game ought to be national coverage every year. Even if turns out to be a low-scoring defensive struggle, it won't be nearly the display of indeptitude that Miami-FSU was.

The city of Dallas would be in flames if this was a 7pm game.

ISU/NU and Cal/Oregon are the regional nightgames.

ABC dropped the 11am kickoff time and switched their second game to the 7pm primetime game. No more tripleheaders, I guess. There are still 11am games but they are on the ESPNs. I for one hope it stays that way. All those 11am kickoffs really sucked, both for fans and for the businesses in town on home game days.

If it's indeed true that the entire country is getting OU-Tx that's fantastic. Although, so far, BOTH the 2:30 and 7pm games on ABC have been regional coverage, with at least 2 possibilities, but I think during the night game they offer the alternate game on one of the ESPNs, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's not entirely true. Starting October 21 it looks like ABC has the option to pick up a game at the 11:00 time slot.

It won't be nationwide. There will be pockets that will broadcast something else. I will most likely be in one of those pockets since I'm in SEC country, so Sooner club of Atlanta, here I come. Besides, it's always nice to watch this game with a bunch of fellow Sooners...

There's already a 2:30 thread.
