I think Perkins

but both are deadly as return men.

Perkins was a legit 4.3 guy and according to the workout numbers, walker ran the fastest 40 of the dbs at 4.48

perkins and smith both had 2 different styles of returning...perkins was more just outrunning people north and south and smith makes 3 people miss before he even starts down the field

perkins set the team conditioning records when he ran a 4.31
he ran a 4.57 at the combine due to injury

Did you see the UCLA game in Norman?

Perk's benefit will always be the halo rule.

Ooh, forgot the halo. But yeah, I think pre-injury Perk was the fastest. Smith seems way harder to tackle. Better field vision, I guess you could say. JT Thatcher just flat ran people over when he wanted to.

I was there.....im not saying perkins didnt have moves, but he didnt have to put as may jukes in as smith does because of being the fastest guy on the field

Reggie Smith has the best spin move I have seen in a return man. He is shifty and he has great field vision.

I also think it has something to do with our Special Teams players, namely the blocking I think is better this year than I have seen it recently.

Reggie has surprised me in 2006 with his alpha to omega 2005 to 2006 improvement returning, but I won't compare until he plays it out like Antonio did...

You would be hard pressed to find an athlete that matched Perkins' numbers in the gym and track. No one on our team now is close. I'm talking about vertical leap, broad jump, and 40 yard dash. I believe his vertical leap was 42 or 43 inches. Broad jump was something ridiculous like 11 feet.

Perk, no question. Better return man, too . . . at least at this point.

Smith sure is fun to watch and he's brought life back to our return game. Sure did miss this element last year!

Perkins prob has more speed, but Smith has better field vision.........he has a knack for seeing cracks. No pun intended http://forums.torrentspy.com/images/smilies/kekekegay.gif
