Were the mad the refs ignored OSU's illegal snap on the two-point conversion?

There's another showing of Gundy's ineptness. You score a TD and are down 27-23. Instead of kicking the XP, you go for the two-point conversion to pull within two - which doesn't really help you at all. And if you're unsuccessful, you're down by four.

It was bee-yootiful man. With less than two minutes left in a driving rainstorm, the pokes fumbled on the Houston three yard line when they desperately needed nine points to pull it out.

I bet their owner (T. Boone) was fit to be tied.

Tramel's been hitting the crack pipe again.
Reid was best quarterback on field

By Berry Tramel
The Oklahoman

HOUSTON -- Oklahoma State had the best quarterback on the field, which is a heck of a thing to say since Kevin Kolb commanded the Houston huddle.

Bobby Reid's spectacular play in his Houston homecoming is reason to believe Cowboy football can get where it wants to go.
It didn't get there Saturday night.
The best quarterbacking can't overcame bad defense and bad luck, which conspired to beat OSU 34-25 on a weird night in muggy Houston.
Reid was superb. He threw smart and well. Ran smart and strong. Kept the Cowboys in contention even when hope seemed lost, with two late drives that fizzled near the goal line only when OSU inexplicably returned to an inside running game that didn't work all night.
Reid's numbers are what OSU has been dreaming about for almost three years, when he committed while at Galena Park's North Shore High School: 13 of 22 passing, 281 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions; seven carries, 85 yards.
"I thought he played good," said Cowboy coach Mike Gundy. "The one thing I was proud of, how was he going to play in Houston, where he's everybody's hero? Looked like he handled himself very well."
Don't mistake Houston's defense for a juggernaut, or even a middling Big 12 defense. But it's not pathetic. And the Cougars were fired up before a near-sellout crowd that, while buoyed by thousands of OSU fans, still made their quaint stadium rock.
This was no Florida Atlantic or Missouri State. The pressure was on Reid, and he responded. No one has taken the mantle of the Big 12's best quarterback this year; do not dismiss Reid from the discussion.
But dismiss OSU from magic-season status. This defense can't take the Cowboys far.
Kolb is a savvy senior and runs an Arena-like offense. Kolb passed for 263 yards in the first half alone and finished 21 of 28 for 313 yards and four TDs.
Houston is a better offense than OSU will face until November. The Kansas schools, Nebraska, Texas A&M, none can match the Cougars' firepower.
Still. You've got to make a team punt. The Cougars didn't punt until midway through the fourth quarter, when they only wanted to milk the clock.
OSU d-coordinator Vance Bedford worried that his troops hadn't been tested, and with good reason. Houston receivers ran free, and OSU's physicality was in want.
"They were tougher than us," Gundy said. "That part, I don't like. We weren't a tough football team in the fourth quarter."
The low point of this Cowboy season might end up being Mark Hafner's 33-yard touchdown catch, in which he broke one tackle, then took a hit from linebacker Rodrick Johnson, who neglected to wrap up and allowed Hafner to zip the rest of the way to the end zone.
This OSU defense had better improve and quick, if the Cowboys want to go bowling.
Better luck wouldn't hurt, either. The replay demons drifted to the Gulf, giving Houston a gift TD when a review official negated a Cougar fumble. Not even homers in the Houston pressbox thought there was a prayer of the Coogs keeping the ball.
But keep it Houston did, and Kolb threw a tipped touchdown pass on the first half's final play from scrimmage, giving UH the lead for good.
More bad luck? In this weird place of palm trees (planted in each corner of Robertson Stadium) and lightning and suffocating humidity, a tropical storm blew late in the third quarter. A mighty wind shifted, and suddenly OSU had to go against the gale both quarters of the second half.
But few will shed tears for the Cowboys. Not with a quarterback like Reid in the stable for 21/2 more seasons. He gives OSU a chance for something special very soon. Just didn't happen Saturday night.

well, i think it was proven that my brother's team couldn't win the Conference USA season title. I wonder why they think they could win the Big 12. And a loss like this has to hurt. This is one where the fuhrer T Bone motions is hight hand up and down, moving mike holder's mouth, and recruits the girl scouts of america to their 2007 schedule. But yet, somehow, they're going to STILL play all-stars against us come Thanksgiving.
