SETTING THE STAGE: This afternoon’s game is the second of two games between Oklahoma and Nebraska this weekend…Last night, the Sooners beat Nebraska by a score of 16-2…Today’s game is a matinee due to the football game between Oklahoma and Middle Tennessee State later in the day at 6 P.M.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Seventeen Sooners found their way into the scoring column last night…Senior forward Kevin Kennedy had 4 goals and an assist in yesterday’s affair…Kennedy’s line mate Kyle Allan had two goals and four assists on the night…Adrian Borchgrevink had a hat trick in the contest lat night…Jordan Novak and Kyle Allan scored nine seconds apart in the yesterday’s first period, setting a new OU Hockey record for fastest pair of goals in a game; the previous record was 11 seconds set by Jeff Luther and Jeff Janes against Kansas on December 5, 2003…Immediately prior to last night’s game, the Blazers Ice Centre experienced technical issues with their internet access, resulting in our inability to broadcast yesterday’s game live. The game was recorded and will be available on www.ouhockey.com or www.icehockey.ou.edu shortly. We are presently working with the Blazers Ice Centre staff to remedy their internet issues in time to broadcast today’s game live. Keep your fingers crossed. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

NEBRASKA NOTES: The Huskers’ captain, junior defenseman Van Hough, had a goal and an assist last night…Drew Seymour also scored on the power play for Nebraska yesterday…Starting goaltender Sam Spomer had a rough evening, allowing 10 goals on 32 shots in just over 31 minutes of action…Replacement goaltender Justin Leu fared a bit better, stopping 15 of the 21 shots he faced in roughly 29 minutes of action.
