No, I'm not asking you to list the teams in order of how good they are.

That was a summation. Rank. Bad. Embarrassing. And I'm not even one of those conference apologists. There is a good chance we could have rightfully been given our win Saturday, won out and still not gone to the BCS title game. Auburn, West Virginia/Louisville winner, Ohio State and USC all have really good shots at going unbeaten. The Big 12 has issues.

Kansas loses to Toledo.

0-4 vs. the Pac 1(0)

aTm needs a semi-miracle to beat Army in San Antonio. Amazing what a real military school can do against a fake one.

OSU is 3-0...of course, Jenks would be, too, with that schedule.

Texas Tech puts up 3 at TCU. Do fans in Lubbock go as crazy over Leach as we did over Chuck Long after our game with TCU last year? TCU might actually be good.

Heck, you could argue that K-State had the most impressive win of the day, beating Marshall soundly in Manhattan.

But, since the thread title could be taken the wrong way, here's my ranking...as of right now.

1. Texas
T2. Nebraska
T2. Oklahoma
4. Missouri
5. Iowa State
6. Tech
7. Oh, I give up...lump aTm, OSU, Baylor, Kansas, K-State and Colorado all together. This league is DOWN!!! Especially when you look at the SEC and see four teams deservedly in the Top 10. Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU and Tennessee. Can you imagine those five against our best five right now? Ouch!

I don't think Texas is that far ahead of us. IMHO, I don't think there offense is that great and they showed weakness in pass protection. If PT can throw the ball like he has been, this game will turn in to a shootout, but I don't think they are miles ahead of OU right now. I think they are pretty even actually.

no way Kansas State is above Tech. I'd also put Baylor over KU. OSU needs to play someone...FAU and Arkansas State don't count.

When you factor in both teams D, OU definitely isn't even with UT.

Wow...some of you are drinking the "OSU is 3-0...they must be good!" kool aid!

I don't think #6 is drinking the kool-aid. The Big 12 is horrbile.

Here's my rankings:
1. Texas - Could fall after RRS.
2. OU - Could rise after RRS.
3. Nebraska - The fake punt they executed vs. USC was pure genius; unfortunately, one of their few bright spots that evening.
4. Iowa State - Played very tough at Iowa.
5. Missouri - Still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
6. Texas Tech - Gary Patterson put on a defensive clinic, but Raiders will still win a few shootouts this year.
7. Texas A&M - Oh, had they lost to Army, the "Fire Fran" movement would be in full swing.
8. Kansas State - Big test with Louisville this week.
9. Kansas - Still capable of pulling off an upset down the road.
10. OSU - Remember, they started 3-0 last year and look how that turned out.
11. Baylor - Another hard-luck loss, this time against Wazzu.
12. Colorado - Dan, still wishing you hadn't left Boise?

Baylor will beat osu again this year. They held a lead at Washington State and played them tough. osu hasn't played anywhere near a real team.

UO >MU ISU Tech

We beat UO, your thinking is flawed. And how can we be SLIGHTLY better than atm when you guys had trouble with Army in your own backyard??

It's your defense that concerns me. You are last in rushing defense in the Big 12, and have played only one quality opponent. And so I can't rank you any higher right now. Lucky for you, my opinion doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things. lol

I agree that our defense is lackluster, but you must remember that some of the teams ranked ahead of us in rushing have yet to play ANY quality opponents.
Our Offense is good enough to keep us in the top 3-4 slots. IMO

I don't doubt your offensive prowess as long as AD stays healthy.
