I for one think polls DO matter since we dropped out of the top 25 last year and NEVER returned until the postseason, despite deserving to be ranked higher than some of the teams at the end of the year.
The only thing which will make me feel better about this would be if we moved up in the rankings and Oregon fell.
Of course, that can't happen because the people who vote don't watch the games. They'll just read about it on the internet and have their SID's cast their ballots.
Honestly, I think we are not Top 10 material right now. But we are good. We just need to do better on our tackling and put games away. We shouldn't have let the refs make the difference today.
