Suposedly, some tall blonde kid in Texas put $18,000 on the ducks?

Seriously, 5 points? That's rather wild. Might be a good play all the sudden.

I can't even imagine how bummed I'd be if I bet on my Sooners and they lost. It's already heartbreaking when they lose -- if it cost me money, too, who knows what drastic step I might take.

Y'know -- like rooting for Tejas, or something ;)

too tempting, along with +/- of 51. I like both bets in this game.

Everyone is picking Ore today. 7 out of 8 people on the Dallas Morning News picked Oregon to win. And the betting public thinks its a mismatch. A lot of people at a sports betting website say OU is "overrated", the loss of Bomar has really hurt the offense and that the O is very one-dimensional with AD.

You would think people would actually watch a team play or do some research for betting $$$ on a game.

Vegas is rarely wrong.

Actually, Vegas' objective is to get an equal amount of $$$ on both sides, and if they do that their profit is 10% of the losing wagers with no risk. Occasionally, they may set a line "too low" or "too high" in the eyes of the betting public. I think most bettors on this game see the line as being "too low" so they are betting Ore, which is driving the line up.

Anyone want to guess who typically wins (casino or bettor) when the $$$ is lopsided on one team? I'll give you a hint, they are still building casinos aren't they?

Bodog has it at 6 now. Oregon must be getting lots of action from the left coast.

Vegas is rarely wrong.

What a completely uneducated statement. Vegas doesn't try to predict games. Read sooner94's post more than once, please.

Me too.

If it keeps going up I might go do it again.
