So, living in Tennessee sucks this time of year. If OU is winning big, they change games. The other scenario is like this one where I have about a 0% chance of seeing it!!! SOBs!

Flagstaff, one more question if you please...
Now that I've got it loaded, it seems that there's only one ABC selection to select. How do I get the version of an ABC station playing west of the Mississippi River?

I was there about two months ago. Awesome place.

I think it was about 1 1/2 hours from Eugene. Maybe two.

My wife and I visited the Pacific Northwest on our honeymoon and I absolutely loved the scenery up there.

Didn't make it to Crater Lake though.

Nothing, it was just as close to "God's Country" as I could get. Actually, Crater Lake is a pain to get to ... it's very isolated, but well worth seeing. It's probably 4-6 hours from Eugene to the Rim Village.

Here is an idea for you if you still have family or friends in OK. Slingbox.

I sent my parents 1 a couple of weeks ago and it works pretty good. I get all the regional stuff plus the coaches show and Sports Blitz.

It is cheaper than gameplan and yahoo sports. Your other alternative, which I use as well, especially for the loacal PPV games is SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO. Besides the sports coverage the music selection is awesome. You will never listen to FM again.

I'm thinkin' seriously about siruis. Thanks Dr. Z

It is pretty cool...During the NFL games they cover you can listen to either teams radio coverage. Sometime you can do the same with College games but only if they are in Sirius's coverage. Like last week I was able to flip between Sooner Radio w/Bob and Merv and Washingtons radio with whatever tools they use.

Hockey coverage is really good as well plus starting Next season all NASCAR will be on Sirius as well.

I knew I was walking into that one.

Okay Blue, I won't argue it. I've only driven to Eugene from Crater Lake via the southwest side, along the Umpqua River, and it's slow and winding. I'm guessing you took Hwy 58, which is probably a lot faster. Still, it's a long drive from almost anywhere but Medford.

I've been looking into that Doc. Good to hear it works for some. Can you turn the channel remotely? What kind of connection do you need to have? I've got broadband, but out here in the middle of the ocean, it can slow down quite regularly. I need my OU and BC Clarks christmas commercials.

You for sure need broadband for Slingbox to work well. Wherever you have the box needs it as well. Yes, remote control works either with the built-in tuner or you can control external devices such as cable box, satellite or even a dvd player. The most scrutinized part of the chain are the routers at the slingbox end. Some brands have reports of locking up after streaming for an hour or two. Just do your reading and you should be fine.
