I need to get to Newark during rush hour tomorrow. Am I better off taking 87 south down to the Washington Bridge west or should I cross the Tappan Zee Bridge and then head down 95 or the Garden State Pkwy?

Garden State
Great movie!
I'm not a NYC knowledge possessor, though, sorry.
Avoid the GW bridge and the cross-bronx expressway like the plague at rush hour. It once took me three hours to get across The Bronx (a distance of only a few miles). I even did the Bruckner/Deegan thingy like the WINS traffic guy said to save time. Traffic is that bad.
Tappan-Zee is the way to go fo sho. Unless you're going from Manhattan. In that case, swim.

I ended up taking the Tappan Zee b/c my hotel was there right next to it. But still, I took the Palisades Pkwy and got stuck trying to enter the GW after i missed my turn. so i slashed this nice u turn right in the middle of thise 4 lane road and was able to turn around and get on.
But now I'm in Portland. This disillusions my mad time zone skillz
