i think we'll see lots of scoring(hopefully all by us). but, it is the first road game in the "loudest stadium in the whole world" and i think uo will be looking to catch us on our heels early. i think we'll get down early and wear 'em down in the second half.

So far I haven't even been in the ballpark when it comes to these, but here goes:

Ducks up 14-10 in first half.
AD wears 'em down and the D tightens up in the second half.

Final
Ducks: 20
OUr team: 27

Autzen? Ain't skeered.

if ENA can hit the long ball early we will hush the crowd and roll. Against UW he missed 3 TD's by a yard or so. Let them bring 8 in the box, I have faith in our WR and QB.

Our D has trouble stopping them early. We start mixing up the defensive calls and shut them down. ENA makes some big throws and our WRs come up big. AD grinds out a tough 200+ yard day. A couple of TDs late to break open a close game.

I believe the line is around 4 pts, so I guess everyone else is "pathetic" too? Or is is possible that someone who predicts 77 first half points is pathetic?

83 - 0 in the first quarter. And L u p i c a takes a dump in his pants, and runs around Autzen naked, scaring away the sacred ducks.

AD shows the bum ankle dude from comedy central what a real superstar running back is. The less respect the *uck defense shows ENA, the more they lose by. Connie Chung filling in for their injured CB won't get the job done.

i snickered out loud (not quite laughed) at the comedy central reference. great show btw.

for the record, connie chung, as you call him, is not playing CB. Chung is very fast, closes quickly, and is one of the best tacklers on the team. He will be playing ROV, because Bellotti does not want him isolated on one side of the field.

AD is the better running back. Anyone who doubts that is lying in the face of logic and historic facts. However, whether you know this or not, J Stewart came out of High School the year after AD, and he too was the highest ranked recruit in the country for his position.

I think vegas has it right with the spread, just not positive which team will actually come out ahead.

Ducks have some weapons on the O. Stewart, if fully healthy, could be tougher to stop than any of the other RBs we've faced so far. We have to wrap up and form tackle. Dixon can toss the rock, and has some receivers to catch it. No broken coverage this time. Right now I see trouble on OUr O-Line with the noise. We have to play disciplined, and we haven't played a disciplined game on the line yet. I think OUr D-Line has to step up like they did in the second half against UW. They need to play 4 quarters. We haven't played hard for a full game. I really hope this is the game that we do. This is a big game. I just hope OUr players are ready to treat it that way. This could be a big season boost if we can pull it OUt.

The breakout game of the year. Defense struggles in first quarter but tightens up the rest of the way as familiarity sets in. PT throws for 3 td's and AD has a pair of rushing td's and one reception for td. Ad totals over 300 and College gameday is talking about OU in the national picture again.

Sloppy defense on both sides of the ball, Oregoon has no FGs because they fake it every time (just like Belotti's wife in the sack).

While ENA and the offense is better than I thought this year, the defense is a concern, especially on the road.

Sticking w/ my prediction from the ESPN boards:

OU - 41
UO - 20

Close at the half, tied or up a field goal. AD opens it up in the third, per usual, and they create distance alongside a Reggie Smith special teams TD. Oregon gets a field goal in the second half... possibly a touchdown.

The media is ganging up on OU. Your team will be sooooooooo fired up for this game. Honestly, you should not worry about the ducks. You win this one 27-16. And by the way they have no tradition at all. good luck to you guys, and God bless! I'm on my way to a chinese resto, Im ordering some fried ducks.

I'm anxious to see how the sooner D handles Stewart and the duck OL. It'll be good reference material for Oct in Dallas. We'll get to see if moving Ah You to DT was a good idea. Stoops' D has always been fast on the edges. We'll see how well it handles the duck OL push in the middle.

Oh man, I'm worried now. That #1 recruiting ranking means so much, hope he doesn't tear us up like Chris Simms did.

Certainly the Cattle weren't worried prior to the '99 Holiday Bowl (they're favorite bowl game.)

Tradition and $7.95 will get you a half-order of War Shu Duck ... and God bless!

I think it goes to overtime, then it's anybody's game.

So far the Sooner fans have been really great here in town (in Eugene) - very polite and not rubbing our noses in the Holiday Bowl...not yet anyway!

May the best team win!

There's nothing to "rub your noses" in.. the Holiday Bowl was a hard played game by two determined teams that wasn't decided until the final few plays. It was one of the best games of the last bowl season.
