Why do you have to take a car apart and take 3 days to fix a couple of scuffs, a ding, and replace a mirror? Apparently bodywork is more of a racket than I realized.

Getting parts delivered can take time. The original paint has to be sanded down. The primer applied...dry time, sanded again, painted...dry time. Probably a clear coat...dry time. You're lucky it's only taking 3 days(My wifes car took almost a month)

Several years ago I had my pickup in the body shop in a town about 30 miles from my house....I just happen to drive through the town one day and guess what I saw....my truck at the local store. Evidently they also need time to do some grocery shopping while they have your vehicle.
