What is the easy way to pickle an egg? I am trying this for the first time, I have a whole jar of pickle juice and have boiled eggs just not sure if I should remove the shell before or after pickling. Any ideas?

Disclaimer: I've never pickled anything and I've never, nor will I likely ever, eat pickled eggs.

That said, I do think you need to start with fresh vinegar, salt and spices. The reason I say this is because in order to make those pickles, someone at some point took fresh vinegar and soaked some cucumbers in them over a long period of time. So that juice is already used up. Pickling is actually a cooking/curing process. It doesn't refer to juice that is leftover from pickles. In order to get that same process, I'd think you'd want a fluid with the same relative acidity as vineger, soaking something over a long period of time, to achieve similar results. Maybe add some mustard seed or something. That might go well with pickled eggs.

Oh, and I do think you would remove the shell.

On a side note, there is no more gawd awful fart gas than that caused by pickled eggs and Blatz beer.
Have a nice day, everyone.

And why the heck would you want to make those anyway? I don't even like regular pickled cucumbers - I can't imagine why anyone would want to inflict that taste on a perfectly good egg.

I'll bet the mace burns your eyes when you eat them.

Or fart them. Whatever.

If you don't have any hot red peppers on hand, pepper spray will work in a peench.
