The drill pipe that is. We've been trying to trip out of the hole now for over 24 hrs.
They've been setting off the jars* now for hours and we ain't goin' nowhere. They shake the whole rig & sends a shock wave over the whole location--kind of a mini earthquake.
I've been out for 38 days now & it looks like this one is going to last at least another 3 weeks...that's if we start drilling soon. Guh! I think I've figured out why I've been grumpy lately.
*Jars are 30ft. pieces of pipe that are spring loaded & put into the pipe string in case of getting stuck. The jars are loaded by putting 80K pounds of pressure on the drill pipe and then dropping the load to 45K. The jars release and shake the pipe into coming loose. (but that ain't happened.)
