View Full Version : BOB BARRY JUST SAID....

fwsooner22
9/12/2006, 12:25 PM
Bob Barry just asked coach Stoops at his weekly press conference......

"coach it appears that a lot of the fans think the defense is discombobulated"

He actually said it.........heck I don't even know how to spell it.

Of course coach said "it depends on what discombobulated means".....and then they moved on to the next question..........

Why do we have to deal with this crap?.........we are an institution of "higher learning" for goodness sake.

AHHHHHHHH:confused:

I felt a little discombobulated earlier this morning after I had 2 bran muffins, and a large coffee.

i think that was a more accurate interpretation of the meaning of the word.

Discombobulatorily speaking, I understood with over 95% certainty that I'd never understand what he, or I, was saying.

Geez, people, break it down:

dis - to disrespect someone

com - to do it on-line

bob - hell, BOB Barry was talking to BOB Stoops

u - we are O "u"

late - maybe BBS was running late...who really knows.

d - he was referring to our defense, commonly known as a "d".

So what we have here, in clear English, is that Bob Barry disrespected Bob Stoops on-line while talking about our late arrival of our defense here at OU.

English motha-f*****, do you guys speak it?

Actually, I think the proper usage in your sentence is "constipated" not "discombobulated".

Did you notice how deftly Stoops side stepped the question? I'd say discombobulationism is the philosophy for Stoops' defense and the idiot that asked the question will likely end up inside a dumpster somewhere in downtown Norman for revealing a secret essoteric sooner football term.

Did the guy happen to mention the word "edifice" at any point?

This thread would make a lot more sense if "discombobulated" wasn't a real word, and if Bob Barry hadn't used it correctly.

Perhaps you should give some thought to a game plan for KW, it certainly would be original.

You people, "discombobulated" is listed at dictionary.com, believe it or not.

That said, Boren, Joe C and Stoops must like ole Senior an awful lot to keep him around. The old gentleman seems likeable enough, but he's past his prime.

Just because Discombobulated is a "real" word does not mean that the play by play man should be using such a word in a question to Bob Stoops, sir.

I can think of many other words that I won't use to describe said "play by play" man becuase it would show a lack of class.

Do ya get it now, RS.

He basically told Bob Stoops that "fans" think his defense is in a "state of confusion". He didn't even speak for himself. I for one don't want Bob Barry speaking for me. If he continues I am gonna be in a constant state of discombobulation. I just don't want to go there.

I had enough of Bob Barry back in the waning days of the Gibbs regime. During a tail-kicking at Kansas St, Bob made some lame excuse about these being a bunch of 18-19 yr old boys being away from home for the first time or some baloney like that.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Guess I was discombobulated.

OU needs to get didcombobbarried. :D

I was kinda thinking that. It's not often that BB has a legitimate question and I guess Coach Stoops' response either means "I don't know" or "I know but I don't wan't do say".

I think we need to get Coach Venables to get hooked on cigarretes and then make him quit cold turkey so he will go ape**** on the players more.

I, uhm, would like to state for the record that my post was *not* intended to defend Bob Barry.

I was actually speaking up on behalf of "discombobulated", a word I'm fond of.

That is all.
