Yep - rather than toss it out there where the ref could see it, or yell out to the ref or something so they would SEE - he just tosses the flag out there and HOPES someone happens to notice. Steelers probably still win the game, but that's just stupid.

Correction, I wouldn't say "like a girl", as my daughter could have and would have thrown it with more determination than he did. (For what it's worth, she is aspiring to be the NFL's first woman head football coach-but that's a whole other story).

He threw it like a wimp/wuss, or actually more like he just didn't care if the refs noticed or not. I couldn't believe he didn't yell something at the ref to get his attention, etc. It was just weird.

That was pretty weak but why weren't any of the refs watching for a challenge???

I wonder what happens now if a coach pelts the ref with the flag to get their attention?
