The Tigers have just lost two of three to both the Angels and the Mariners. Their lead in the Central is 3 or 4 games depending on what happens tonight with the Twins and Rays. Starting tomorrow the Tigers go to the Metrodome for four games. They could conceivably wake up Monday in 2nd place.

Yeah, and my Yankees will have home field for the playoffs and the WS!

The Tigers are choking just a little bit down the stretch. The Twins and Sox might end up finishing 1-2 in the Central.

They still have to execute, but outside of the upcoming set vs. the ChiSox, I'm not seeing anything that they shouldn't do very well in, save MAYBE Toronto. There's a TON of games (10 total) vs. Baltimore & KC. If they they can't do it vs. those teams, I'd at least be able to take solace in the fact that they probably didn't deserve it. Regardless of the end of this season, I'd say there's very little doubt that their future is quite bright. Hang in there 'clip. ;)

Not only that, but Liriano's out for the year as well. He was looking flat-out awesome in his return, but he re-injured that elbow in the 3rd.

The Tigers might suck now, but at least you still get six games left against the Royals.

Hello Tommy John surgery. Poor guy. I feel bad for him. See you in 2008 Liriano.

Whoa, a Josh Fields sighting. Fields went deep for the White Sox vs. the Tigers tonight. The Tigers, however, get a huge win in their quest to stay on top in the AL Central. Another good outing for the Gambler.

Good win for y'all. I'm hoping for a Tigers vs Cardinals WS so we can see some classic unies.

I'll take a repeat of 1968. :)

let's see..

yay for liriano not needing tommy john surgery.

fields was going to play this year..he's had great numbers in triple-a.

I'm pretty much willing to concede that we aren't going to get the wildcard now.
