you betcha:

quinn: 23/38 246yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
carpenter (asu): 17/24 261 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT
smith (tosu): 18/25 297 yrds, 3 TD, 0 INT
booty (usc): 24/35 261 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT
leak (UF): 21/30 248yds, 3 TD, 1 INT
russell (lsu): 13/17 253 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT
ainge (ut): 11/18 291 yds, 4 TD, 1 INT
taylor (neb): 22/33 287, 3 TD, 1 INT
harrell (ttech): 34/49 342 yds, 5 TD, 1 INT

these are just the ones that i saw (in the top 25) that had more yards. i know PT had a better passer rating, and i know most of these did as well.

if someone could explain to me how brady quinn is better than these 8 listed, i'd love to hear it. or better yet, if corso, may, beano cook, bob davie, anyone at SI, fox, or nbc could explain it to me, i'm all ears.

sincerely,

just tired of it all.

Look at who Quinn played versus who the other QBs you listed played. Most of the other QBs' opponents were not Division I-A teams, let alone BCS conference opponents. Quinn also opened on the road, whereas most of the others opened at home.

Only Booty and Ainge faced competition that is at all comparable to Georgia Tech.

Comparing what will probably be Brady Quinn's least impressive performance of the year to what probably will be the most impressive performance for most of these QBs is not sound evaluation.

There is also this whole thing called last year where Quinn demonstrated he was significantly better than everyone on your list.

It's one game. I think Quinn is overrated as well, but it's one game. Let's see how they all do over the next 5-6 games. Same thing goes for AD.
