I guess this is what happens to college football players who are already becoming legendary.
I pick my neighbor up from the airport. He was coming back from Florida and said something about a paper in Fla. running some story about how the NCAA has sent some type of undercover spy-guys to approach AD several times and he has declined. I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be agents, gift-bearing donor-types, or what. The whole thing sounds really hokey to me but I was entertained enough to share it. BTW, said neighbor is not normally a big bullshi77er but he's certainly suspect now. Reminds me of a saying...
"you may not be a chicken ****er, but you've sure got some henhouse ways."

So, seriously, this type of thing really never happens, right?

Forgot the upshot of the whole thing, apparently AD didn't fall for the schemin'. This is about the wierdest story I've heard in awhile.

The NCAA still hates OU for the lawsuit with GA in the early 80's... Still, there is no way they would even be that stupid!

I can see a "sting" operation to identify crooked boosters, but not this.

What would be the point of using undercover guys to "approach" AD?
