As he put it "At least he didn't suffer at all, he just went to bed and didn't wake up". That's the way to go, in my book.

He buried his Mom in his early 20's, she died of the SCA1 Ataxia, the same disease he has. This just sucks.

I tried calling him tonight, couldn't reach him. He's in BFE Mississippi, at his Dad's, and the cell service isn't so hot at times.

Thoughts and prayers. It's tough to lose a parent.

His situation is particularly heratbreaking, he lost his mom to the Ataxia,
his sister is 42/43 and in a nursing home and is dying from the Ataxia, she hasn't got much longer. He's right behind her at 38.

Effectively, he has no siblings or parents now.

May God grant him peaceful rest in the loving company of Our Lord and Savior.
May those he leaves behind be comforted by knowing that this hope is now reality and that someday they will meet again.
