Sooner Spectator is proud to announce former Sooner tight end Trent Smith, the third-leading pass catcher in OU history, will be our featured guest this Saturday prior to the OU-Washington game. Trent will be at our tent on Campus Corner (in front of the old Boomer Theater) to sign free autographs.

Trent will sign from 11 to 12:30 prior to the game.

OOh, I still need my old SI with Trent on the cover signed.

I hope he's there early so I can drop the mag off at Mom's office on campus.

well I was wrong,I thought this was going to be a contract-signing thread.I was wondering who he was signing with.

He's signing with Sooner Spectator... short-term contract for us, long-term with OU fans.

Also, available Saturday will be a few signed copies of Tales From The Sooner Sidelines, which tells about how Trent almost single-handedly helped OU win a national title in 2000. OK, he didn't do it by himself, but it was his vision and ability to talk a lot of players (like Roy Williams) into staying after Bob Stoops was hired.

Copies of the book signed by Trent and myself are only $20

any time set yet? I might have him sign a couple cards for me if he wouldn't mind. I'd buy the book Jay, but I already have it ;)

I saw Trent today as we were leaving the SF.com Tailgate.

Gave him a Hey Trent! Waved at him like I was his best friend and everything...lol.

A quick thanks to everyone who dropped by to get a Trent Smith autograph Saturday. We had a lot of familiar faces, as well as many new ones, come by our Campus Corner tent and meet Trent.

We will be announcing our next guest signer for the Middle Tennessee game very soon. Stay tuned!
