who would star in it and who should direct?I think Ed Harris could play the contempary Switzer (OU coaching days).Ron Howard would be an excellent choice as director.I can't think of anyone to play Switzer as a boy or as a young man(UA days). Any i other ideas on who should star in the movie?I can't think of who the primary supporting characters would be in this movie.Barry's first wife Kay, and Larry Lacewell.Beyond that I have no idea,I guess it would depend on the focus of the movie.To me Switzer is larger than life and ALL other roles in the movie beyond him would be minor.

How many of us would like to see this movie?I know I would but am I alone?

Harvey Keitel could play the adult Switzer.

How about Craig T. Nelson, playing a current aged Switzer. And of course, because Barry has such a wonderful sense of humor he could do a cameo appearance as an NCAA investigative official criticizing him for buying a plane ticket to a funeral. Oh, and why not have The Boz play the 80s Switzer?

Actually, I think Vince Vaughn is the only current actor cool enough to pull off Switzer. Other roles:

Larry Lacewell - Robert Duvall
Pat Jones - Tim Conway (as dorf)
Jimmy Johnson - Ned Beatty
Mack Brown - whoever played Rosco on Dukes (duh)
Darrell Royal - Billy Bob Thornton
the Boz - the Boz
Little Joe - Reggie Bush
Thomas Lott - Ice Cube

I would play Switzer in my break-through debut movie role. The great success I would experience from this movie would allow me to attend cool Hollywood parties. At one of these parties I would meet the ******* Matthew McConaughey and kick his *** up between his shoulders. I would then retire from pictures and come back to living the dream.

According to that face-recognition software site, Gene Hackman most closely resembles Switzer. Well, other than Elmer Bernstein, but he's not an actor.

Really? You think he can pull the King role off? I'd imagine him as more of a Stoops guy, myself.

The only way Tommy Lee Jones can redeem himself after "Man of the House" to me, would be to play in an OU-related film. But, still a good fit for one of Switzer's buddies.
