I like TU but I'm tired of people at the Tulsa World implying that they might be the best team in the state.
C'monnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

I agree totally. I really wish they would have played oSu last season.:D
But, I saw a blurb last week mentioning them perhaps being the best in the state and then today the picker said the same. heh.

and yes, the World is a rag. sad there's not 2 papers in Tulsa.

Tulsa isn't the best team in the state, but I don't think anyone would argue them being called the second best team in the state. At least Tulsa had the :twinkies: to play a real school in it's non conference schedule. They play BYU and Navy. Not the two most intimidating teams out there, but a far cry from Missouri State and Florida Atlantic. Tulsa is becoming a pretty darn good team, and they don't have a rich idiot carting in wheelbarrows of money:D

Navy has made great strides since firing the former oSu QB head coach person.

You haven't forgotten the opponent was SFA, right? An okay school (meh), a somewwhat pathetic athletic program - in any sport. Lots of the local high school kids could look good against SFA. :)

Got back from the game. Paul Smith was solid. I mean, you play a 1-AA team and you do what you're supposed to do. So we'll see how they do with BYU next week

Amusing aside: We sat behind the visitors section and the SFA pres and his wife were seated very near us. When the Union High School pom squad (which looked to me like it had about 300 girls on it) performed at the half, the SFA First Lady asked Mrs Homey who just happened to be nearby(paraphrasing) "WTF?" and that she had never seen anything like that before "even in texass." Mrs Homey said, "You oughta see Union High school itself sister.";)

She should see Skelly during the Union/Jenks game.

Btw, isn't TU going to start making improvements to the stadium soon?
