There are few left, if any, of those whom we "seniors" so admired. John Wayne, Cary Grant, William Holden, Gregory Peck, Henry Fonda, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper, and now Glenn Ford...all gone. For the most part these men, especially Peck, were not only icons of the screen but were men of great personal integrity.
They gave us much. God, please grant them rest.

Wow! I thought he died years ago. 90 is a good long life for a white man. He was great as Superman's dad.

Well, she had a skeeter on her cheek! A great big honking malaria-bearing skeeter! What's a real man to do?

ah yes, the Sheep Herder.

Royal mentioned Bogart who IMO is far from the old school machismo type.
unless your idea of a manly man is a high pant wearin chain smokin 135 pound type.

Another combat vet gone; joining Jimmy Stewart, Eddie Arnold, Clark Gable and many others.
I don't think my generation of Hollywooders will have that blurb in their obits.Yes, the new generation of hollywood stalwarts will include Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, Ed Asner, and Ted Danson. Hooray for Hollywood!
