CB: Derrick Strait. Duh.
CB: Michael Thompson, pre-injury. What a tragedy. I think michael would have surpassed Strait as the best CB under Stoops.

SS: Roy Williams: Another "Duh" choice.
FS: JT Thatcher: An interception machine

Close but no cigar: Andre Woolfolk, Brandon Everage, Ontei Jones.

Roy and Derrick are givin. Everyone has to have them. You could argue that they are the best safety and the best corner in OU history.

Woolfolk and Everage would probably be my other 2 picks. Everage in 2001/2002 was a highlight machine and it looked like he was going to be better then Roy if he continued to improve.

I still think Thompson as a redshirt freshman was brilliant and the sky was the limit. Everage peaked early and Pool had a very mediocre last year although the coaching changes really interferred with his development.

I agree. Brodney could have been our best FS if he stayed his senior year.

Brodney was gifted but I think somewhere right now Steve Smith just caught another touchdown pass behind him...

Definitely wish he would've come back though.

And I don't think the Pokie State game of 2002 was one of Everage's better performances so that hurts Brandon's ol' ranking a bit.

The problem with BE is he was never healthy. And he pretty much split time with JT in 2000 as a freshman.

Another problem with Everage was he never wrapped up when he tackled. He hit like a Mack truck, but if the ballcarrier got away, all he had was green in front of him.
