Boy, I'm so 2005 this week. First I got a RAZR to upgrade my phone. I needed something to strap it to my side, so I decided to get a murse to put it in. You know - one of those cases with the magnetic flaps and a belt clip. That's what I call it anyway. So far I like the razr pretty good but I can't feel the phone in my murse when it vibrates and the murse keeps pressing the outside buttons on it. Can nobody make a good cellphone case?

murse? never heard it called that.

anywho, i bought a carrier that clips to my belt. i can feel the phone vibrate whenever getting a call/text.

try looking around at a mall. usually, booths are set up with faceplates, "murses", bluetooths, etc. if you're buying the carrier (or charger, any accessory) at a cell store (cingular, etc) you're paying a high price for low quality crap.

I've got my leatherman and my keys in one pocket, my wallet and my pen in the other. I don't have room for a cell phone.

The murse is on my belt, but it dampens the vibrations quite a bit. I figure I might miss a few calls because of it. At least the RAZR has the vibrate then ring mode. Maybe I'll hear it.

For my old phone I had a holster. I could feel it vibrate just fine, but my phone would fall out of it onto the concrete quite often, usually when getting out of the car. I don't think that will be a problem with the murse.

They had one that had a leather case and a removable clip. The damn phone stuck out about 2 inches though.

That is similar to the other one I saw. It stuck out too far for me AND I didn't like having something covering the screen and the buttons.

For my next one I think I'll try the one i saw on the innerweb that was a skin but had a removeable clip on it. The skin takes away form the thinness of it though.

I ordered my murse and car charger on Amazon and both combined it was less than $20. I hope you checked there first.

:D

Norm In Norman

Nope. I paid $20 at the mall for just the murse. At least I got to look at it first to see if I liked it.

Obviously that didn't help.

Well, it's not like I'm totally unhappy with it. I'm going to give it the old college try.

Well, I ordered the leather cover.....it's not as fancy as yours so it was bound to be cheaper. It came with a belt clip as well and works okay.....I was just looking for something to protect the phone.

Yep. it's one of those money clip bifolds, sort of like this:

http://www.fossil.com/images/us/local/products/detail/ML5597200.jpg

I couldn't ever find a wallet thin enough for me, so I decided to go with a front pocket wallet. After breaking away from the pain in the *** that is putting my wallet in my back pocket, I will never go back. It's so much better. I may even end up going with a wallet that hold even less ****.

Actually, if I could merge this business card holder (with a place for a space pen) and the above wallet, I'd never buy another wallet.

WalMart, your favorite store has severl for under $10, and you can try them out if you have a friend who you will give your cell number to.

Ive been keeping my wallet in my front pocket for years. Sitting on it in my hip pocket was begining to hurt. Course that was back when I had some money in it. Then I got married...........

george's wallet is too full and hurting to sit on.
a pen that writes on anything, anywhere, even upside down.

to top it off... i heard on the radio today the term "murse"... first time i've heard the term was today and the radio was the 2nd time i'd heard it. she called the "man purse", or "european carryall" a "murse"... short for "man purse". heh, that was one of my fave seinfield episodes... Heh, I had a Fendi wallet for a long time and the only person who ever recognized it as a Fendi wallet was this morbidly obese black woman who was working at a gas station that I filled up at one day.

Now, I just use a $30 black leather bifold.

I can equate almost anything to a seinfeld episode, so it's not too surprising.
