Oklahoma Sooners (8-4)
My knee-jerk reaction following Rhett Bomar's dismissal was to send the Sooners plummeting into the teens. But after visiting OU's camp a couple of weeks ago, I came to realize that the Sooners are still loaded at nearly every other position and may actually be more versatile offensively with mobile QB Paul Thompson.
First game: Saturday vs. UAB.

i hate to say this but both Mandel and Maisel have impressed me some this summer by admitting to some error in the interest of being more fair or accurate or at minimum just to seem like human beings and not "the high pontiff of sport" like a lot of major network journalist cretins (ESPN, cough).

and this has almost less to do with OU than more to do with it. just, in general.

i still think Mike DeCourcey is an asshat, though. but, that's OT and hoops related. and not contingent on what he says about OU.

I'd sure love to see PT have a good year.
