I heard that that Daniel Tabon is finally a member of the Sooner football program and has been fully cleared to join the school academically and athletically. (Sunday night)
Has anyone else heard confirmation on this? I know that he wasn't going to play this year, but if he did finally make it, and if he has to sit out a semester, then that could be a good thing for him and OU to prove he did EVERYTHING he had to do to get eligible, and get into OU. I seem to remember reading a quote from his coach at Altus that was extremely discouraging at the time - something like: "I just can't see how this guy is going to do this." (maybe that was him becoming eligible THIS season - I dunno.) I know that he had some serious academic problems at the time.
