It depends on the relationship, and the level of friendship (whether it's disposable). If it was a serious, long term relationship, that's pretty much hands off for life, unless the friendship is one you could sacrifice.

It's even better to be seeing her behind his back while they are supposedly still together, it's a lot more exciting that way.

Depends on if you want to stay friends and how serious his relationship with the ex was. Personally, I wouldn't want to deal with the akwardness and tension- and it will be there.

If they're not married or engaged, she's fair game even while they're dating! Unless of course the guy is your bestest best friend since kindergarten or something

Apparently I had not read the handbook clearly oh-those-twenty-years-ago...I first asked out the woman who is now my lovely wife the same day she broke up with a good friend of mine...or who I thought was a good friend but turned out not to be.

I thought he was treating her like dirt, it ****ed me off, and I called him on it. Needless to say, the friendship did not last (all of that "who's side are you on" BS), but the marriage did. :D

Since they broke up, the friend gets little say in the matter. I mean, if it's a lifelong friend vs. just a rebound-romp then you don't do it. But if it's a lady that the dude's really interested in, why wait at all?

Skysooner
8/29/2006, 08:41 AM
As soon as they broke up, she is open territory. Just be prepared for the consequences from said friend. There is no right answer to this one. I had this happen one time. One time when I was a junior, I was contemplating breaking up with this girl that I had been dating for a year. Things just weren't going that well. A friend of mine knew it and made the moves on her. I found out and I roughed him up for it. If he had waited about 2 weeks, it would not have mattered.

KC//CRIMSON

BeetDigger

Combatibility question #1 should be does tab 1 fit into slot B firmly? If the answer is yes, then the rest of the questions are pretty much mute at that point.

Viking Kitten

I just wanna hear Dr. Neil Clark Warren say that while sporting his big-a** goofy grin. It would also be funny if he said something about an "L.A. face with an Oakland Booty."

No sense in risking it.

Look here, Oakland Sack...

...oh, man...I crack myself up...

And if you were born there and moved away would it get smaller?

And L.A. faces seem very...carved-up nowadays. But how could Sir Mix-A-Lot know this would happen when they wrote that song back in the day? So tragic...
