It's on ABC in the OKC TV area right now.

We're up 3-0 in the 3rd. I like our chances.

I remember thinking going into halftime that we would have to score a lot of
2nd half points, as there was no way we'd have that kind of defensive success against FSU two halves in a row.

Heh, ****ers.

there's a play Heupel makes in that game i saw recently on a youtube 2000 highlight clip....where he drops back and scrambles up in the pocket and then runs parallel to the LOS from left to right on your TV screen and hits a receiver throwing on the run. i watched it about 10 times.

classic Heupel.

Heupel could improvise like nobodys business.

I'm watching. We could have had 7 or 8 interceptions up to this point. Man our D was good.

Could ABC have shown Snoop Minnis any more?

i watched that game on DVD for the first time since it happened at my Dad's over last Christmas and while i understand we were 10 point dogs....it WAS amazing how early on the announcers were giving us NO SHOT at all.

I also think that year's K-State team was Snyder's best team. they demolished Tennessee in their bowl game IIRC. and, there's all the we should have played Miami and they were the best and would have beat us and all that....but i'm not sure KSU wasn't the second best team in the country that year. they were pretty frickin physical on D and Beasely was tremendously underrated IMHO. and they had speed and playmakers at WR.

I still don't know how Ontei wasn't co-MVP with Torrance.

I'd only argue their 1998 team, which lost to A&M in the Big 12 title game, was better. I believe that team was ranked in the top 5. Not sure if the 2000 version got there.

sure, but that team also lost to Purdue in the Alamo Bowl.....granted they lost Mike Stoops, Venables, and Mangino....but, still.

actually, looking at soonerstats.com just now.....that 2000 KSU team ended 11-3, and at #9. obviously, they lost to us twice but i don't remember the other loss (NU?)....so maybe your are right. though, i think KSU was #2 or #3 when we played them in Manhattan in 2000.

yup, #2.

A&M beat KSU 26-10 in College Station in '00. They built a 19-0 halftime lead & hung on in the 2nd half. Toombs scored 3 times.
