"Son come to OU and you have a good chance to play in the Chick -fill-A Bowl"

Don't forget that they are saying this (in a little girl's whiny voice) while being dragged along clinging to the recruit's leg . :D

Thats what used to be the Peach bowl isnt it? That actually used to be a decent bowl game... I mean last year it had LSU vs Miami didnt it? This sponsorship thing really ****es me off sometimes... cant we just leave the names the same and say sponsored by "Chick-Fil-a" I mean Gaylor Family Memorial Stadium... vomit. They have there own building but you have to put gaylord on the stadium!? its a war memorial for chrissakes! not a Hotel family memorial. I know its a lot of money, but give me a physical break.

I do agree that they've gone completely crazy with naming the bowls. I miss the old days where just going to a bowl game was great. It wasn't a few bowl games and some lesser bowls. Except the "rose bowl". They've always had their noses in the air. But I think more NCs were decided in the Orange Bowl than anywhere else. At least since I was born.

I wouldn't mind seeing the sponsorship crud reduced or eliminated -- and they certainly shouldn't drop the traditional name of the bowl in favor of the sponsor. In other words, it should never become the Tostitos bowl, or FedEx bowl.

I thought they still called it the Chick Fil-A Peach Bowl - am I wrong?

FYI, they recently changed the Vitalis Sun Bowl to the Brut Sun Bowl. I'm not sure which is worse. BTW, the Big XII has a potential tie to this game now.
