Going on a cruise at the end of September. There will be snorkeling at several stops. So here’s the question, what would be a good reliable brand name for snorkel gear. Wife has this thing about using the gear supplied by the outfitters. Something about disease ridden folks from around the world using the same mouth piece, etc etc:eek:

I've only snorkeled a couple of times, but when I did, you could rent masks, flippers, and life jackets (if you want one of those), but you had to buy the tube. And it was only like $10.

When we when to Jamaica a couple of years ago, they just had the snorkel’s in a 5 gallon bucket. You just reached in and got one. I always took a couple of shots of rum with me to sterilize them.

go to Oklahoma Scuba in Norman, or just buy ScubaPro if you want a nice set that you'll keep for a while.

Don't rent that stuff. Its gross.

Get your own stuff. If you want to be cheap, go to academy or something.
If you want good stuff (like scuba quality) go to a scuba shop and plan to spend about a hundred bucks. Or get them online for a better deal.
