Did they unveil revised Boomer and Sooner mascots?

I was there, didn't see the mascots.

Bob Stoops: "I make a point every time I come out here to look up at the press box, at all of our national championships, to make sure none of them have fallen off." That was funny.

Boren's speech was interesting too, I had no idea the forward pass was invented at OU.

Boren was maybe confused since OU never used it until the 90's. ;)

What was up with Boren saying that Stoops would be at OU long enough to break the record of most NCs by a coach? Was that a hint that they were gonna offer him another long contract?

the thing that kind of disturbed me was that boren said that we had the same spirit in 2006 like we had in 2000, and stoops didnt clap with the rest of the crowd until about 5 seconds later...

Maybe he wasn't paying attention, since he had to double check the NCs. :D

not possible... with alabama winning it each year, coach stoops will never catch up.

And did Prentice Gautt really receive a 10 minute standing ovation at a game last year?? I mean, I know the guy probably got a pretty good one, but 10 whole minutes? That sounds a little hardcore.

Yes, and with every home win, SUC seems to add some phantom titles themselves... Personally, I'd love to see old Bobby beat that... somehow, I don't think he'll win another seventy-plus years worth of titles... :D

Isn't OU the only team Bowden has never beaten? :eek:
