Short notice 4 week TDY has me in Ft. Walton Beach. Running commentary to follow.
- within 15 minutes of arrival I spotted my first feathered mullet.

For crappy italian food, the olive garden isn't too bad.

You'd think that will all the hurricanes and flooding that occurs annually it would clear the area out of rednecks. Somehow it only causes them to breed more.

NHC expects shear to tear apart the storm, but then said something about staying together...Talk about hedging your bets!
EDIT: 8/27/06 Not anymore...
If i'm in florida when this thing is scheduled to hit, It will break apart and fizzle. I have a k-nack for missing out on the cool stuff.
On a side note, my first purchase today was a nice bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock.

Thank God it'll be gone well before Labor Day!
Maybe it can hover over Georgia this weekend - the wife wants to go to Atlanta this weekend...THIS F'IN WEEKEND!!! I've waited for 8 months, and she decides we should go to Atlanta the first full day of college football season...ugh...:mad:

They have no idea where this thing is going...I bet a large amount of money that this track will change AGAIN...after the storm gets done with Cuba.
