The Florida hottie Debra LaFave is back in the news.

She's being temporarily released from her three year home arrest* to be interviewed by Matt Lauer for Dateline. She'll explain the reason she had an uncontrollable urge to boink her middle-school students is because she has a mental disorder. :les: YA THINK?

No, its only been about a year since she was sentenced. Yhey're just letting her out for a couple days to stay in some ritzy hotel where Matt is going to interview her.

Where were these teachers when I was growing up?

The only notable teachers we had were lesbian or pothead.

We've discussed this to death, but my theory is these teachers were always there but we didn't have drive-by journalism or the innerweb to make us aware of the salacious details.

I expect back in the day, if Miss Magillicudy was busted for doing an eighth grader, she was quietly sent packing and we were all none the wiser.

I know for a fact my thirty-ish 11th grade bio teacher (male) was doing one of my female classmates in the school darkroom. He was also the yearbook adviser and I was one of the photographers -- IOW, I owned a 35MM SLR. This girl was pretty hawt but had self-worth issues. I think he picked-up on the fact and took advantage of her. It started by his offer to teach her to develop and print photographs. She accepted. Many hours in the darkroom ensued.

I walked in on 'em a couple times. It was under red light but what was going on was unmistakable.

Anyhoo, eventually, the school found out and fired him. No muss, no fuss.
