View Full Version : Do they not have "Dads Day" at OU anymore?

I noticed the Texas Tech game is designated "Family Weekend" and the ticket doesn't mention anything special for the game. I guess it isn't PC to honor dad by himself anymore.

The Tech game is for the Gaylords.

It is anticipated that the box score alone will take a half page. What better way to honor the "Family" than filling up their Sunday fish wrap.

This is of interest to me.

Jerk, do you wake up every morning and hit yourself in the head with a hammer, or do you just wake up dumb?

IIRC, there used to be a Mom's day too....back when i started going to games with my dad in the mid-late 70's.

They might have made mention of mom but there has never been a "Moms Day" at any OU football game I have attended since 1972.

Mom's Day was in the Spring when I was at OU.

The kid's sorority has a "Dad's Weekend" but to date I have been unable to attend. Them little gals know it's all about making Daddy feel special...'cuz we write the danged checks.

Also, they are prolly more likely to be certain of their male parentage than the general student population;)
