Why do unscented bug sprays smell so bad?

I keep seeing beetles in my bathroom, so I decided to nuke it this morning. Somebody, light a match!




My grandma used to tell me that it isn't the spray that kill the bugs, it's the fumes. I see her point.

Don't do what the guy in Texas City did earlier this year. That is setting of 18 bombs/foggers in a 800 s.f. apartment.

The resulting explosion blew the guy out of the apartment and caused so much structural damage to the apartment building, it was condemned.

I'm sure the roaches just moved on to another building...

Unscented just means the bugs can't smell it. No guarantees for humans though.

I gotta say that the pesticide fumes smell better than the usual fumes coming out of the bathroom.
