Seems like a bad idea to me. I've noticed a lot of cars with heavy tint on the windshield lately.

When you tint the rest of the care, it appears that the windshield is tinted also from the outside.

Maybe you missed that day at med school.

I leave my care untinted. ;)

However, some windshields are, in fact, tinted. Look closely (if you live in Oklahoma) at some of the cars on the road. I promise, it's not just a good tint job on the other windows.

I have my front windshield tinted as well as the rest of my windows. You do not put as dark of tint on the front, but the effects are significant. It is not hard to see out of and it greatly reduces glare from the sun. I never have wear sunglasses anymore.

BTW, it is illegal, but the cops do not care. I have heard that you can actually get a prescription for tint on the front windshield.

My uncle is a cop. He said there's no law against it anymore. It expired/repealed/whatever.

You don't have a problem seeing out of it at night?

The only laws I ever heard were for the levels on the sides and back, and I was under the impression that no tint was allowed on the front with the exception of a band accross the top. Of course it's all regional, but that's been the case in the few states I've lived.

I've been to his office. I was worried when I saw his name printed on his door: OU Doc, M.D. 20/20.

I had a strip of tint across the top of my windshield quite a while ago. I took it off because it was annoying and hard to get used to seeing around/through.

So how dark can you go on tint these days? I need to tint my car and re-tint my truck and would love to get limosine tint on at least the back windows.

I have no problem seeing out of the front windshield at night. I have 15% tint on the sides and back, but only 35% tint on the front windshield.
