View Full Version : here's a joke and a question

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Texas Longhorn fan.

She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Texas fans too.

Not really knowing what a Texas fan was, but wanting to be liked by
their teacher, their hands fly into the air. There is, however, one
exception.

A little girl named Janet has not gone along with the crowd. The
teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

"Because I'm not an a Texas fan" she reports.

"Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?"

"I'm a proud Oklahoma University - Boomer Sooner fan" boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Janet why she is an Oklahoma fan.

"Well, my Dad and Mom are Sooner fans, so I'm a Sooner fan too" she
responds.

The teacher is angry now. That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?"

Janet smiles and says, "Then I'd be a Texas fan."

and now for the question- since we don't have anything worth talking about that we haven't been over 100 times-

so what i want i know is who is your favorite "under the radar" sooner of all time, and why? and by, "under the radar" i mean no AD, JW, teddy, rocky, etc. you get.

for instance, mine is ontei jones- when he ripped his helmet off at the texas game in 99 and his hair was dyed orange... he stole my heart. and he was undersized and would absolutely knock your jock off.

I loved ontei jones, I loved michael thornton before he got hurt, and how about brandon shelby-he was always making plays

I think his first two seasons, Stoops was under the radar.

Even though he was an All American he played for Gibbs and Howard so he should count. Cedric Jones was a badass. He was a great defensive end and is truly underrated just because OU was in their dark age.

Jeff Ferguson.

He made some of the best heads up plays I've ever seen.

Brandon Moore. I met him when he was a freshman and I was a senior, and he was a genuinely nice guy.

I know Kelly Gregg was an All-American, but he just looked like he didn't belong. That was until he made one great play after another. I loved watching him play, all heart and hustle. He made the dark times a little less painful.

Paul Migliazzo.

He wasn't really "under the radar" for any reason except lining up beside Bosworth.

The guy was a monster.

Now before you laugh, think about the slump in kickers we took after he left.

Heck yeah. And Cory Heinecke.

I don't know if I consider Ontei Jones and JT Thatcher "under the radar". Ontei was a beast in coverage, and JT was deadly on the return game. (Not to Perk's level, but dang good.)

I don't know how "under the radar" he was - but I'd go with
