For those that follow golf and know who he is, his wife died over the weekend after a long battle with breast cancer. They would mention that she was sick sometimes on the golf telecasts so those that watch probably were aware.

they said on the golf channel tonight that Paddy Harrington donated all of his winning money from last week to breast cancer research.

in Scotland around the towns like Troon, St. Andrews, and Carnoustie there are pictures of a pretty "jovial" looking Darren Clarke outside MANY restaurants and pubs with his arm around the presumed owner. it's pretty funny. seems Darren has made a lot of friends over the years.
