These are the folks from Ponca. Anyone have any experience with them?
I know, I know, electric smokers are da debil but for convenience sake I'm thinking of getting one.

Electric ones work somewhat. If you want one that you don't have to mess with as much as a wood or charcoal fired one, I'd suggest the Propane one they have at Lowe's. It's a Smokey Mountain Cooker or something like that. They make a charcoal and a propane one. They're not too expensive and work great. They're easy to set on one temperature and they stay there.

i am close friends with the former owners of kingfisher kookers....they are the only way to go

But are they propane or electric?

If you want the perfect charcoal/wood smoker get a Weber WSM. There is no equal. You go to contests and you'll see a bunch of giant trailer mounted smokers or people with WSMs. They rule.

On the 4th of July, my family grills steaks on the GF electric grill and smokes ribs in our Horseshack electric smoker.

It's good eatin'.
