trying to decide between the Slvr http://www.first-handyshop.de/handy/Motorola/SLVR/SLVR-1.jpg and the Samsung d807 slider phone http://img.phonescoop.com/img/p/245/890_1.jpg

any input?

i clearly provided a picture. ;)

samsung d807 info:

Offering a blend of style and functionality, the black and chrome spring-loaded design is complemented with a 1.3-megapixel camera with video, an MP3 player, and an external memory slot, providing ample storage space for popular music and pictures.

The D807 also features EDGE connectivity to deliver entertainment and on-demand services at broadband speeds, and a large 2.12-inch, vivid 262K-color screen to view mobile services, streaming video, and messaging.

With Bluetooth wireless technology and worldwide roaming through quad-band support, the D807 is an ideal companion for travelers who want a slim handset that includes entertaining multimedia options while keeping them connected with work, friends and family.

A guy at work has the Samsung, and it rocks. I wanted that one but Sprint didn't offer it...so I ended up with the Samsung MM-A920; basically the same thing in a flip phone.

Highly recommended.

I would go with one that covers up the keypad, whether it slides or flips. I like my current phone but I am always accidentally mashing buttons while it's in my pocket.

how is the durability on any of those?

i'm exceptionally hard on things...

Cell phones suck. That's my opinion.

it took me a few years but i finally broke the one on my T-610

i have a Trogdor shaped cluster of dead pixels, i can barely read phone numbers and text messages at times

I have found that durability is an issue with all samsung phones. It is having a negative halo effect on all samsung products I look at. I won't buy a samsung product because of my phone experience.

Don't buy 1,000 of them. You'll get arrested.

what is the new moto like?

I have a motorola v551 and as of right now the ear piece is broken so that you hear nothing, so on every call i have to resort to speaker phone of my bluetooth headset, so, i'm in the market for a new one.

I knew you were useless prior to this post.

But it's nice to confirm it once in a while.
