I'm not a fan of te anti-handgun genre, but that song is awesome. One of the only Skynyrd songs I can listen to all the way through...

Got a barrel that's blue and cold,
ain't good fer nuthin'
but put a man six feet in a hoooole!

I quite agree. No one should suffer the indignity of being killed by a $90.00 revolver.

I like the last verse, where they're all, "Let's throw all the handguns in the ocean and be rid of them". I'm like, "But if southern rock bands ban handguns, then the only people with them will be rappers!"

A couple of years before I joined YCT this candidate for State Senate was doing an endorsement interview with us and we asked his position on state gun-control laws by asking if he had a problem with someone who had an anti-aircraft gun in his backyard. His response was (and I paraphrase), "My first question would be, "can you be safe with that? My second quesiton would be, "can I shoot that thing sometime?"

He was endorsed and won. :D

LOL! Perhaps most people would prefer the honor of being ventilated with a $1000 1911

I know I would, but then again I've always be a bit of an elitist. ;)

I always wanted to go out putting together a $50.00 pipe bomb together in my garage while drinking a beer. ;)

I can't say how I want to die. It's against forum rules. But I'll say it anyway. When I'm an old man in a nursin home, I hope some hot young nurse sits on my face.

...with a polished feed ramp, a well-tuned action, a custom trigger job and tritium night sights.

No way I'd pay that much for a handgun. Maybe it's because I'm not a big handgun person. If I *know* I'm about to get into a gunfight, my 1911 will be the back-up weapon.

Having said that, I own a few Wilson magazines and I also have their full length recoil guide rod for my Colt Gold Cup. Wilson makes top notch stuff. The guy used to be a Jeweler so you know he is meticulous.

I like pistolas. The vast majority of confrontations where you're likely to need to shoot a guy are within 5 yards. Plus, you can't carry a long gun when you're walking around the grocery store and stuff.

That's funny.

You can here. :)

In fact, they have more of a problem with the pistol than the long-barrel stuff.

If you go there, does the restraining order carry over? Like, will he have to leave the state while you shoot things?

'Cause if so, that's, like, not really fair. I don't care if he DID rifle through your trash that one time.

Legal to carry whatever weapon you want, so long as it's in the open (within certain limits, obviously-you can't carry a nuke around or a bazooka or something and the cops will keep an eye on you.)

Never mind... wrong station... I was thinking of "CAPTAIN KOMA" back when AM ruled the waves.
